Contact Lenses That You Wear at Night

The only lens style to be approved for continuous use for up to 30 days, silicone hydrogel lenses allow for much more oxygen permeation than standard contacts. This means that they do not get uncomfortable or feel "dried out" after a day's use. The increased permeability also means less risk of infection due to their ability to breathe better than standard contacts.

Different from regular silicone hydrogel lenses, O2OPTIX contacts are worn continuously for two weeks instead of 30 days. This means less risk of infection, as their faster replacement rate means less buildup of proteins and lipids on the surface of the lenses.
Corneal refractive therapy is used to reshape the surface of the eye temporarily in order to give the patient nearly 20/20 vision during the day without requiring contacts to be worn. The patient wears special hard contacts overnight that reshape the surface of the eye and are taken out in the morning. Seventy percent of users report perfect vision the next day. The patient must wear the contacts at night to benefit during the day.
